  • "Heroic Overture, Op.26a": mandatory piece by I International Conducting Workshop & Competition "Villa de Pozo Estrecho"

    The Heroic Overture, Op.26a by Javier Pérez Garrido is one of the selected works of this important event. This workshop-contest will host important teachers such as the conductors Víctor Enguídanos Royo (Tercio de Levante), Francisco Javier Gutierrez Juan (Municipal of Seville), Héctor Jesús Hurtado Salazar (SAM Santa Cecilia) and the composer Javier Pérez Garrido (CSMN). The selected students, from different countries, will receive some lessons, including an analitic approach to the Heroic Overture by professor Pérez Garrido and will conduct during the concert for opting to the competition prizes. The final concert will be at Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy in Cartagena, Spain (july 8th, 19.00 p.m)

     

  • Fantasia will be mandatory work at the XX National Band Music Competition from Murcia

    The composition "Fantasía, Op.14" by Javier Pérez Garrido will be performed as a mandatory work during the First Section of the National Band Music Competition "Ciudad de Murcia". This prestigious event, open to every Spanish amateur bands, will be having its 20th edition this year.

  • Open opportunity to premiere the "American Fanfare"

    We are glad to announce the opportunity to premiere the concert band composition American Fanfare, Op.61 by Javier Pérez Garrido. This short and symphonic piece is based on the American Anthem and dedicated to the 11-S victims.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE:

    Unfortunately, only one band will be selected to premiere this work (at no costs) so we need to make a selection. If you are interested on participating, please send us this info:

  • The Numskull International Competition commissioned Pérez Garrido to compose a new work

    Javier Pérez Garrido has recently composed Rocking trombone! a new trombone piece commissioned by the Numskull International Competition. This work will be one of the mandatory compositions to be performed by the contestants.
