The IX Jerry Goldsmith Awards for mass media composers have just announced their finalists. One of them is Javier Pérez Garrido.
 
The award ceremony will be held at the end of July -during the International Film Music Festival in Córdoba-. Many important composers including Steven Price (Oscar winner 2014) Cesar Benito ("El tiempo entre costuras") Toshiyuki Watanabe ("The Ring") Sergio Moure de Oteyza ("Inconscientes") Sergio de la Puente ("El Lince Perdido") Roque Baños (3 times Goya winner) Rolfe Kent ("Up in the air") Nani García, John Lunn (2 times Grammy winner) Murray Gold (Doctor Who and 4 times BAFTA nominee) Debbie Wiseman (Oscar nominee) Craig Safan ("Nightmare on Elm Street IV") Chris Lennertz ("Alvin y las ardillas") Blake Neely ("The Pacific") Arturo Díez Boscovich or Abel Korzeniowski (Golden Globes nominee) will be during this internationally renowned festival.
 
Javier Pérez Garrido is nominee at the Best Free Creation category. Manel Gil-Inglada, Stuart Hancock, Chris Heskett and Adrien Beberman are the other four finalists.
 
There are an amount of 8 different categories. The countries having nominee representation are Spain (12), Germany (6), France (5), Colombia (4), Mexico and United Kingdom (3), Italy (2), Austria, Chile, US, The Netherlands and Norway (1).
