The Centro Instructivo Musical "La Armónica" de Buñol (Valencia) has organized the National Composition Competition "Manuel Carrascosa" for celebrating their CXXV anniversary. During the closing ceremony Javier Pérez Garrido was awarded for his composition "Fantasía Andaluza, Op.47".

Valencian Tuba Quartet, Cimasax Quartet, Langsam Wind Quintet and Ande Brass were the chamber groups that played the finalist pieces that were also reviewed by Gregory Fritze, emeritous teacher from Berkley Boston, US.

Radiobandasdemúsica recorded the final of this competition, where the Fantasía Andaluza by Javier Pérez Garrido was performed.

This recognition won by Javier Pérez Garrido has been added to his awards list making him one of the most Spanish youth prominent talents.
