The album "Textures" by trumpetist José Chafer has recently won the Silver Medal by Global Music Awards, California. This cd recording includes, among other compositions, the Concertino de los Filabres, Op.54 for four trumpets and band by Javier Pérez Garrido. The piece, commissioned by the 38th International Trumpet Guild, was premiered in Michigan and, since 2013, has been played in some American and European countries. The Global Music Awards reward again Pérez Garrido for the fourth time during the last three years.

Textures is an ambitous project by José Chafer in cooperation with other great artists such as Manu Mellaerts, Slawek Cichor, Raul Garcia, Erik Morales, Jim Stephenson, Krzysztof Grzeszczak, Javier Garrido, etc. Symphonic compositions were recorded in Spain with the Banda Sinfónica del Conservatorio Superior de Murcia under the batton of maestro Luis Pedrón while other pieces have been recorded in Poland. Its official presentation will take place at Casa Santonja in L'Olleria, Spain (October, 22th).

Concertino de los Filabres, Op.54 tries to describe with music not only this great mountain range but also all people who have lived there such as the own composer's antecessors.
