The CD recording "Obertura Heroica", a selection of wind band music composed by Pérez Garrido with the performance of the Spanish Navy Band under the direction of Commander Jaime Enguídanos Royo, has just been internationally recognized by Global Music Awards in California, with two awards at the "Best Album" and "Classica Music" categories.
The music of "Obertura Heroica", that has a great variety of styles and musical forms, was composed by Javier between the years 2013 and 2017 and this album is the first world recording of the 13 selected pieces, many of them awarded in composition competitions such as the Akademia Music Awards (with "Far West Fantasy"), among others.
Pérez Garrido is once again recognized through this important American organization that has awarded him a total of six medals including one gold (2014 -Fantasía-), four silver (2015 -Tango Suite-, 2016 - Concertino de los Filabres- and 2021 -Obertura Heroica-) and a bronze (2014 -Fanfarria-).
