The Nativity scene of the iconic San Juan Bautista church in San Juan, Alicante, is gearing up to unveil its charm on a unique opening night. This special event will feature the participation of the talented Laudate Duo, composed of singer Concepción Pérez Boj and pianist Cristina Cámara Rovira. The magical atmosphere of the holiday season will be enriched by carefully selected enchanting melodies. Among them, the standout is the Huertana Lullaby in the version by Javier Pérez Garrido, a piece that reinterprets this emotional and evocative lullaby from the Murcian orchard.
The evening, scheduled for 8:00 PM, promises to immerse attendees in a warm embrace of melodies celebrating the magic and tenderness inherent in Christmas. Concepción Pérez Boj
Born in Torrevieja, she began her vocal studies at the "Francisco Casanovas" Professional Conservatory in Torrevieja under the guidance of soprano Belén Puente. She pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance and a Master's in Research and Musical Interpretation at the Óscar Esplá Superior Conservatory of Music in Alicante, studying with Professor Pilar Páez Martínez.
Since 2015, she has been a member of the choir at the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona and, from 2022, has also joined the chorus at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
She participated in the Arte-piano Festival in Castelnuovo di Farfa (Italy), presenting an opera and Spanish song recital alongside pianist Mark Nixon. Noteworthy is her 2017 performance in the mirrors room of the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona, where she presented an opera recital and solo concerts with the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, she is a Vocal Technique teacher at the Municipal Choral School of Torrevieja (where she has worked since 2009) and at the Music School of La Paz Musical Society in Sant Joan, Alicante (since 2016).
Cristina Cámara Rovira
A native of Torrevieja, she initiated her professional studies in her hometown and completed her advanced training at the Superior Conservatory of Murcia under the guidance of Professor Pilar Valero. Simultaneously, she studied with Professor Jesús Mª Gómez Rodríguez, with whom she later pursued a Master's in Research and Musical Interpretation at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Alicante.
Driven by her interest in both pedagogy and ancient instruments, she studied organ and harpsichord, as well as earned a Master's in Musical Pedagogy from UNIR (La Rioja).
As a soloist, she has stood out in concerts with the FIMA Orchestra (Almería), the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, the Plucked String Orchestra and Guitars of the Region of Murcia, as well as collaborations with various music bands in Murcia and Alicante.
Her teaching career has predominantly focused on chamber music, serving as an accompanist at the Professional Conservatory of Torrevieja, the Superior Conservatory of Castilla La Mancha, and the Superior Conservatory of Alicante, where she has been teaching since 2016. Recently, through a competitive exam, she achieved the position of piano accompaniment professor.
