The californian prizes Global Music Awards have given to Javier Pérez Garrido the Gold and Bronze Medals at the Music Composition category. The awarded pieces have been "Fantasía, Op.14" -Gold Medal- and "Fanfarria, Op.50" -Bronze Medal and also Nominee to the Hollywood Music in Media Awards-. Both of them are composed for concert band.

This Cd recording as well as the music scores will be published by Molenaar Editions all over the world.

The Banda Sinfónica Juvenil de la Red de Escuelas de Música de Medellín under the direction of Frank the Vuyst will perform the band composition "Fantasía, Op.14" by Javier Pérez Garrido at the Teatro de la Universidad de Medellín, Colombia.

The Sociedad Unión Musical “Santa Cecilia” from Caudete (Albacete) will be conducted by Javier Pérez Garrido at the end of March. The concert which is being rehearsed since January will be performed in Caudete's Municipal Auditorium (March 29th, 7:00 p.m.). The compositions will be: Children's March by Percy Grainger, Olympica by Jan Van der Roost, Cloudburst by Eric Whitacre and the premiere of Anniversary Overture and Beethoven is dancing Salsa! both of them composed by Javier Pérez Garrido.

Obertura Lationamericana, Op.45 for brass ensemble is a piece awarded by the second International Brass Ensemble Composition Competition Bronces Verdes. It will be premiered at Theaterzaal from Enschede Conservatory in the Netherlands, February 19th (8:00 p.m.) by a dutch brass ensemble.
