This symphonic poem has been created to commemorate the 1200th anniversary of the founding of the city of Murcia. Conceived as a sonic tribute to its history, heritage, and identity, the work is dedicated with deep respect and admiration to the city of Murcia, the City Council of Murcia, and the Federation of Bands of the Region of Murcia: in recognition of their tireless efforts to keep the musical tradition alive throughout the region.
The score is structured in thirteen different scenes that flow continuously, offering a musical journey through the most significant historical events of the city.
