Program notes

"Urban Concert" is a vibrant composition for tenor saxophone soloist and music band that draws inspiration from the richness and diversity of musical styles that have emerged in the heart of cities. From Blues to Swing, through Jazz, Rock, Ska, Reggae, Cha cha cha, Salsa, and Mambo, among others.

The contemporary saxophonist is intrinsically connected to urban culture, being recognized as a creator of eclectic and versatile art. In their music, they bring new sounds, merging different influences and genres, but without losing sight of the cultural roots that precede them. "Urban Concert" reflects this connection, offering a broad and dynamic vision of the musical styles that flourish in the bustling urban environment.

With an eclectic and colorful musical narrative, this composition is an exciting journey full of surprises, where each note and rhythm intertwine to capture the vibrant and diverse essence of city life. From the darkest alleys to the gleaming skyscrapers, "Urban Concert" is a sonic tribute to the vitality and creativity that flows in the urban hearts around the world.
